What is the max. cable length for MX80 Encoders?

The maximum cable length using the same cable we use now for the MX80L is as follows:

  1. All units with a E2, E3, E5, E7 encoders can have a cable length up to and including 10 meters. Distances greater than this will either need to be larger gauge or have special encoder voltage accommodations.
  2. All units with a E4 encoders can have cable lengths up to and including 5.5 meters. Distances greater than this will either need to be larger gauge or have special encoder voltage accommodations.
  3. All units with E8 or E9 encoders can have cable lengths up to and including 3.0 meters (which is our longest standard offering). Cables lengths greater than this need very special consideration.
