Minimum temperature of the Servo motors

The minimum operating temperature Compumotor Servo motors is as follows

Motor SizeFeedbackMin Temp
All SM, BE, N, J, MResolver-30C
All SM, BE, N, J, MEncoder0C
All Integrated GearheadsResolver-25C
All MPP RotaryEncoder or Resolver0C
All MPM RotaryEncoder or Resolver0C
All APEX and ZResolver-20C
Custom motors can be ordered that will run at lower temperatures

The limitiation on the resolver motors is not due to the resolver, but the grease in the bearings. If lower temperatures are needed, a custom motor with lower temperature bearings should be requested. For condensing environments, a protective winding coating or vented motor are available as a custom.

Likewise the limitation on the integrated gearheads is the grease in the bearings.

Minimum/Maximum Storage temperatures:
Minimum is -50c non-condensing.
Maximum is 120c for an encoder feedback.
Maximum is 150c for a resolver feedback.
