Why am I getting over-voltage trips?

  1. The motor is getting overhauled by the process.
  2. The motor is driving a high-inertia load.
  3. The inverter is trying to decelerate or stop the motor too quickly.
  4. The application requires Dynamic Braking and either does not have the Dynamic Brake installed.
  5. There is a problem with the dynamic brake configuration.
    1. The Dynamic Brake is not enabled.
    2. The Dynamic Brake Overload is tripped.
    3. The Dynamic Brake Resistor is improperly sized.
    4. The Dynamic Brake is not properly set up in the configuration.
  6. The application requires too much regeneration for a Dynamic Brake and requires an Active Front End.
